An inability to gracefully receive gifts and compliments often comes from a negative sense of self-worth, a distrust of others, or a fear of being perceived poorly by others. Sometimes, all three factors are at work inside your subconscious. You’ll need to change the way you think about the act of receiving while improving the way you react upon receiving something. If you are going to get what you desire, you must be open to receive it. We have all heard the saying, “It is better to give then to receive”, and while this can be true, there is a time to be on the receiving end.
