Living Life to the Fullest!

Power Session: Living Life to the Fullest!

Born without his right arm, only a partial left arm, and a shortened left leg, Kurt P. White made the choice early on in childhood to not let anything get in the way of pursuing his dreams.  In spite of his disability, he was determined to live life just like any other person.  Ironically, his strong conviction to be just like everyone else has led him to become a quite remarkable, unique individual.  Kurt made the decision to live life on his own terms.  Attending public school and obtaining a degree in Finance, securing a successful career, and raising a family are just a few of his most cherished accomplishments.  Along the way he learned to drive, swim, fish, play pool, bowl, and even golf competitively.  More recently, he has added skydiving and water skiing to the list.  There’s simply nothing he can’t do.  You will thoroughly enjoy hearing him speak about “Living life to the fullest as a Handicapable person.”

About the Speaker: Kurt P. White currently lives in Dunlap, IL with his wonderfully supportive wife Lisa, loving beagle Hazel, and funny Shi-tzu Fez.  They keep busy raising two teenage boys. He is honored to be a part of I’ve Decided’s Motivational and Leadership Conference. Kurt loves entertaining and making people smile.  You might have seen him out and about filling in on the washboard with the local band, Comatose Catfish.  He is also becoming somewhat of a regular with the Metamora Thespian Society where he broke out his washboard and joined the band onstage during their show, “Ring of Fire.”  He also sang along with his wife, Lisa, in “Burgers on Broadway” and “Home for the Holidays.”  Most recently, he performed as The Waiter in “Plaza Suite.”  His stage character debut was last Fall in Peoria at Cornstock Theatre playing Mr. Tetley in “Something Wicked This Way Comes.” Kurt loves spending time at the Hooked-on Fishing park in East Peoria where he has been a volunteer for five years.  He also volunteers at OSF as a Compassionate Companion.  As a motivational speaker, Kurt encourages us all to live our lives to the fullest as he shares his stories of growing up as a Handicapable person.
